Blue Tweed Meditation Cushion

I designed this meditation cushion for myself and people kept “borrowing it” so I started making more, they are handmade by me. I use mine everyday to support my meditation and yoga practices and even to sit at my desk. I hope you get just as much use and satisfaction as my “borrowers” and I.

The buckwheat filling means the cushion will adjust as the body moves, to reduce tension in the lower back. This can build up from sitting on a hard surface or chair for too long. Also designed to provide support and ease pressure on knees and hips. The height of the cushion is adjustable and should suit each individual’s posture and preferences.

When purchasing you have the option to have the cushion filled high, medium or low. Alternatively you can have it filled high and take the time to empty the cushion to an optimum height. There is an inner cotton layer beneath the outer meditation cushion cover. To wash the cushion cover, unzip the outer layer and remove the cushion from inside. It’s best to hand wash at a low temperature.

I chose organic buckwheat hulls as the filling because they are lightweight and mould easily to the body, yet give a sense of grounding. Buckwheat hulls are the outer shell of buckwheat grain, so durable and repurposed. Sourced locally in the UK.
